Prayers Before The Blessed Sacrament
Adoration prayers said before the Blessed Sacrament, deepens our prayer life and prepares us for our union with Christ in Holy Communion and the Holy Spirit.
Approach to Adoration
1. Recognize the Presence of God – Enter into His holy Presence with wonder and awe. Psalm 8.
2. Thanksgiving - Praise and thank the Lord. Worship Him. Psalm 138.
3. Reparation – Repent of your sins and express sorrow for the sins of the whole world. Psalm 51.
4. Petition – Ask for your own deeper conversion and personal needs, as well as for your family or those around you and the whole world. Psalm 86.

Act of Adoration

O my God, I adore You, the one God in three Divine Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I adore You with profound respect and acknowledge You as my Creator, my Redeemer, and my Sanctifier.

O my Lord Jesus Christ, true God and true man, I believe that You are here present in this most holy Sacrament. I adore You with all the powers of my soul, and I thank You for all the graces You have given me, especially for having given me Yourself in this Sacrament, for having given me the most Blessed Virgin Mary to plead for me, and for having called me to visit You in this place.
I now salute Your most loving Heart, and that for three ends: 1) in thanksgiving for this great gift; 2) to make amends to You for all the outrages committed against You in this Sacrament by Your enemies; 3) I intend by this visit to adore You in all the places on earth in which You are present in the Blessed Sacrament and in which You are least honored and most abandoned.
My Jesus, I love You with all my heart. I am very sorry for having so many times offended Your infinite goodness. I purpose with Your grace never more to offend You. And now, unworthy as I am, I consecrate myself to You without reserve; I renounce and give entirely to You my will, my affections, my desires, and all that I possess. Most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Thine altar. We are Thine, and Thine we wish to be; but to be more surely united with Thee, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Thy Most Sacred Heart.
Many indeed have never known Thee; many too, despising Thy precepts, have rejected Thee. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Thy Sacred Heart. Be Thou King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken Thee, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned Thee; grant that they may quickly return to their Father's house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.
Be Thou King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof, and call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that there may be but one flock and one Shepherd. Act of Petition (Give Me Yourself, O My God)
Give me Yourself, O my God, give Yourself to me. Behold I love You, and if my love is too weak a thing, grant me to love You more strongly.
I cannot measure my love to know how much it falls short of being sufficient, but let my soul hasten to Your embrace and never be turned away until it is hidden in the secret shelter of Your presence. This only do I know, that it is not good for me when You are not with me, when You are only outside me.
I want You in my very self. All the plenty in the world which is not my God is utter want. Amen.

Evening Prayer
O God, as I kneel before Thee in the stillness of this hour, receive the offering of my evening prayer. Let my prayer rise before Thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice (cf. Ps 141:2).
O Lord, Thou art my God; early will I seek Thee; my soul thirsts for Thee; my flesh longs for Thee in a dry and weary land without water. So I have looked upon Thee in the sanctuary, beholding Thy power and Thy glory (cf. Ps 63:1–2).

O Illustrious Patriarch Saint Joseph, who carried the Infant Jesus in your blessed arms and who, during the space of thirty years, lived in the most intimate familiarity with Him, take under your powerful protection those whom He has clothed with His authority and honored with the dignity of His priesthood, whom He has charged to continue His mission, to preach His Gospel, and to dispense everywhere His graces and blessings. Sustain them in their fatigues and labors; console them in their pains; fortify them in their combats; but above all, keep far from them all the evils of sin.
Obtain for them the humility of Saint John the Baptist, the faith of Saint Peter, the zeal and charity of Saint Paul, the purity of Saint John, and the spirit of prayer and recollection of which you, my dear Saint, are the model. Prayer for the Holy Souls
O most sweet Jesus, through the merits of Your Sacred Heart, and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, grant eternal rest to all the souls in Purgatory — especially to those most abandoned, those nearest to heaven, and those most in need of our prayers.

Lectio Divina of Scripture
Take a few moments in silence. Still your body, quiet your breathing, and allow yourself to become aware of the Real Presence of Jesus before you.
Slowly read the following words of Our Lord from the Gospel of John, allowing them to rest in your heart:
"I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst." (John 6:35, RSV-CE)
"I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh." (John 6:51, RSV-CE)
Rest in silence. Do not strive to think many thoughts. Simply gaze upon the Lord and allow Him to gaze upon you. You may speak to Him as a friend speaks to a friend, or you may simply remain in loving silence.
Close with a brief act of thanksgiving in your own words.

The Rosary

Make the Sign of the Cross.
Holding the Crucifix, say the Apostles' Creed.
On the first bead, say an Our Father.
Say one Hail Mary on each of the next three beads.
Say the Glory Be
For each of the five decades, announce the Mystery (perhaps followed by a brief reading from Scripture) then say the Our Father.
While fingering each of the ten beads of the decade, next say ten Hail Marys while meditating on the Mystery. Then say a Glory Be.
(After finishing each decade, some say the following prayer requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.)
After saying the five decades, say the Hail, Holy Queen, followed by this dialogue and prayer:

R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ
